The Players Guide to the Human Game
The 7 areas of life that when mastered make life work and make it fun!
1. Spiritual:
Who are you? and where are you?
The first thing to do is figure out who you are and where you are.
If you are playing a game you kind of need to know:
a. that it is a game
b. what the rules are
Take chess for example...how well could you play it if you didn't know the rules? It would occur as the different pieces moved in seemingly random ways. There would be no way you could win and I venture to say it would not be much fun. Consider you are Mario in the game AND you are the Programmer that created the game then picked up the controller and started to play...to see how it turned out. Well, this is how it turned out! Then to make it really interesting after a piece of your Programmer awareness jumped in the game to play the part of Mario you chose to have Mario forget his connection with the programmer. When taken as truth this is a very empowering perspective to have on life, the universe and everything. The best part is if you take this on as true even if it is wildly off base and totally wrong the only side effect seems to be you are tremendously empowered as you are the source and the player simultaneously. This viewpoint puts ALL the responsibility squarely on you and with responsibility comes power.
This is your game you can do and or have anything and to say otherwise is just you arguing for your limitations. What if you created the universe for you to play in?
What if you were responsible for it all?
What if you could do/be/or have anything in your game?
What if you are Mario AND the Programmer?
What could be more empowering than that?
2. Health:
Once you know who your are and where you are the next logical step is to acquire and maintain good health. In life and in video games health is a critical piece. In life and in video games the game IS over if your health fails. If your health partially fails then your quality of life IS over. If you feel lousy or are in pain or lose some mobility then that is no fun at all. Not having fun directly contradicts #6 on this list. There are certainly things we can do here to drastically improve our health. There is A WHOLE LOT to the care and feeding of a human body especially now. The food supply is poisoned in so many ways and companies like Monsanto (now Bayer) and Nestle keep doing indefensible horrific things and their crimes are protected by the governments of the world. Once you actually get who you are, where you are and what the game is the next thing to do is to sort out your health and maintain it.
Your health is your responsibility. It's imperative that you master your health. This is not a trivial task as there is A LOT of misinformation out there.
3. Relationships and Sensuality:
Human connection with others is such an amazing thing. We are social animals. We all want it. Not having supportive friends/lovers around will really hinder your experience here. Who doesn't want super great friends and cool sensual/transcendent sexual experiences? If you say you don't want/need them you obviously have not had them and don't know what you are missing. Sex is really great and it is a wonderful exercise in human connection. If it's so connecting and great why have so many traditions demonized sex? Quite possibly because it is the ultimate creative act. And it is powerful. Sex has the ability to create another human being! If your goal as a church is to control people then you had better put limits on this, make it bad and wrong (only under certain circumstances is it ok) and to be effective you had better start this indoctrination early so things don't get out of hand. I think this explains the paradigm of thinking when all religions were started.
Spend time/energy/effort building long term friendships with both sexes. Build sexual relationships with one or more others too. Feel free to experiment and become a great communicator. Ask for what you want. You just might be surprised at how often people say yes. Ask others what they want and be of service (it's just way more fun this way). Dive into the enjoyment/the pleasure that's available to you when you do nice things for others. Become a master at communicating and human relating. The game is much more fun with good friends and lover(s).
4. Freedom:
Once you have a good handle on #1 #2 and #3 the next thing that will most likely crop up for you is freedom and the concept of self ownership. You want to be free and you want to help others have the same freedoms. Voluntary-ism is so vital because it is THE ONLY non violent/peaceful solution. If you are not already familiar with the "Non Aggression Principle" (NAP) and "Natural Law" I would encourage you to look into those topics. All forms of Government are just thinly veiled forms of tyranny, violence and extortion. If one is not a fan of tyranny, violence and extortion then they should be doing anything they can to thwart government at every turn. Government is a mob that rules with violence and extortion that has brainwashed people in the government run propaganda camps (some people call this public education) that they have control over you/that they own you. Government has a monopoly on violence. A cursory look at history with an open mind will reveal all this and more.
5. Growth:
You are either growing or your are dying. Growth is not limited to the physical aspects but extends to intellectual, emotional, and spiritual dimensions as well. The idea that life is a dynamic journey, filled with endless opportunities for learning, improvement, and transformation.
Conversely, complacency and resistance to change can lead to a metaphorical 'dying,' where one's capabilities and zest for life gradually diminish. Thus, this axiom serves as a compelling reminder of the importance of embracing change, pursuing continuous self-improvement, and living with an insatiable curiosity
and openness to the world around us.
6. Finances:
The best way to help the poor is not to become one of them.” – Lang Hancock
Life is easier when you are not stressed about paying your bills.
Money is a tool to get things done and to have fun. Why not have more than you need?
Address any trauma you have around having money and get on with what you want to do.
I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor. And, believe me, rich is better. -Mae West
7. Fun:
This game like any game was built for fun. Do fun stuff! Make it a regular practice. Spend time doing fun stuff...pointless meaningless fun stuff. Why? because it's fun. Animals play. Kids play all the time...how often do you play? Video games were created for one reason...for people to have fun. Fun is the reason why you (as the Programmer) created the universe. While fun is the goal...it's not realistic to think that it will be all fun 24/7 and you would not want that anyway. Travel the world...buy a house in another state just because you like the weather better...buy a seaplane! When your friends ask why did you buy a seaplane? You can say because seaplanes are fun. No one on their death bed ever said "I wish...gasping for breath...I would have laid off the all the fun...I think my big down fall was I just had too much fun in life...last breath....I should have put more hours in at the office."
Don't mishear me I am am not saying only do fun things and don't pay any attention to the responsibilities that come with your Mario skin suit. If you have kids take care of them (and don't forget to have fun). If you have a job be responsible with it (and don't forget to have fun). If you have wife/husband do what's supportive there (and don't put off fun for yourself). You can do it all. You can have it all.
